Not one day goes by, when businesspeople are not informed that they have to prepare immediately for digitalisation, otherwise they are pushed from the market within a few years.

But they may not be pushed aside without listening, as, the same as the internet did not leave again, digitisation of business models and value chains will no longer disappear.

Introducing new technologies
It cannot be answered generally what digitisation means for the individual business during business operation. This depends on many external and internal factors. The industry and the current business model thus certainly play a substantial role. The same goes for the business culture and the preparation for change of management and employees. One thing will however apply to all businesses: the successful digitisation of the own business will not happen only by introducing new technologies. When the technology is viewed in connection with the own digitisation efforts, a high importance will correspond to one aspect: Focusing. Nowadays, there is a digital solution for just about any business process. Be that it is the subject “customer management”, the subject “accounting“ or also “distribution controlling“, to list just a few.

Corresponding experts
When digitising your own business it will be important that the business concentrates which strength it has defined for itself and which are the core of the inherent services required by the market. One needs to work consistently on these strengths. Third parties should look after anything else, and they must again be corresponding experts in their field. No matter if it concerns office IT, facility management or the internal telephone system. Only in this way, businesses gain those temporal, financial and resource-related leeways which they need urgently for their own further development and a successful action in the market.
