IoT-Internet of Things is titel and main topic at the international Lago Conference Rishon Lezion on November 23th.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a transformative force in human development. This emerging paradigm will make our lives closer to the imagined reality of science fiction than to that of our ancestors, so news of the Israel Homeland Security Report.
The market for smart, internet-connected devices is expected to grow to $1.7 trillion by 2020, with devices such as TVs, cars, thermostats, and even military, medical, and industrial instruments gaining capabilities by the advantages offered by the internet.
Computing power is rapidly becoming cheaper, while the development of new sensors is enabling their incorporation into everyday objects. Data-centric businesses practices are developed and old business models are redesigned to incorporate IoT and maximize the social and economic benefit of the technology.

Unique Opportunity for professional meetings
Making this world a reality, however, presents its own, special, new set of challenges. To capitalise and fully exploit the advantages of IoT, we must rethink our approach to security still in the design stages, to implementation in light of new obstacles, and even to emerging and unforeseen solutions to problems we didn’t fully realise we had.
To fully exploit this unfolding reality, there needs to be a coordinated effort to address the issues of interoperability, security, meshing up data, open platform development, and standardisation. These issues and more will be discussed at the upcoming Internet of Things conference & exhibition.
The conference is a unique opportunity for professional meetings between companies in the technological and defense industries, integrators, research and development organisations, and leading academic institutions.
