Economy

Inhaltlicher Schwerpunkt waren u.a.

Economy

Economy has emerged from the platform EConomyAustria (ECAustria), which was already founded in 1999 as a web-based information, service and events platform dealing with the main topics of technology and innovation for business and management.

The contents focus was, among others, making references to projects in business and science already implemented, and also corresponding funding and financing models supplemented the service character of the platform. Between 2000 and 2005 the platform also acted as an organiser of around 150 thematic conferences and trade fairs throughout Austria, including the 2,000 m2 EConomy-Austria-Technologiepark within the scope of the co-founded ITnT fairs at the Vienna Exhibition Centre.

From 2005 economy has also appeared as a printed weekly newspaper with a circulation of 30,000 throughout Austria. 58,000 readers and 6,600 top decision makers are counted by the media analysis (MA) and reader analysis decision makers (LAE) as the latest current coverage for the printed magazine. The European Commission nominated the platform of 162 European IKT initiatives for Industry & Research as a model project throughout Europe.

In 2011 both titles were merged into the current internet magazine and the channels “Education" and ”Research” were founded and introduced for this. The Austrian web analysis (ÖWA) has counted 7,214 unique clients and 16,633 page impressions as well as 6,212 newsletter subscribers as the first range for the internet magazine.

In 2015 there followed a complete technical, graphical and editorial relaunch of the portal and the onlinemagazine and its appearances on Facebook, Twitter as well as Google Plus. The channels ”Service” and ”Life” were additional founded and introduced. As a service to the growing number of international readers, from 2016 on bilingual (D/E) articles are posted. In 2017, Economy is the first Online-Medium to launch a video-track with best-practice-projects for a multimedia mediation of business innovation. 2018, the extension ist followed by longer documentary formats.

"We are the only medium with its sole focus on decision makers and the subjects of education, innovation and business. As an additional service to our readers, no traditional online advertising exists on economy. On the contrary, we offer the advertising industry new content forms of Native Advertising“, says editor Christian Czaak,

„This ads are placed precisely in a suitable topic environment, without wastage for the target group of decision makers“, accents Czaak, who previously worked as director for marketing & sales at the media house “Der Standard” from 1989 to 1999 and in addition to the daily paper this includes the commercial responsibility for founding and establishment of derStandard.at 1995.
